Our history

2007
CIRAD, INRAE and the Institut Agro create the scientific cooperation foundation Agropolis Fondation.
2008
IRD joins the founding members.
2011
Agropolis Fondation is awarded the management of the Agronomy and Sustainable Development Laboratory of Excellence (Labex Agro).
2018
The University of Montpellier becomes a founding member.
2024
Agropolis Fondation expands its scientific scope to become the Fondation One Science Montpellier.

Our governance

The One Science Montpellier Foundation relies on solid, transparent governance, designed to bring together the expertise and define the perspectives necessary for our success:

The Board of Directors (BOD ) defines the Foundation’s priorities and strategic orientations to ensure the long-term coherence of our actions.
The Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) makes recommendations on the Foundation’s scientific orientations and action program, guaranteeing the excellence of our initiatives.
The Unit Directors’ Group (GDU) fosters collaboration between the network’s research units in order to develop collaborative projects and provide information on the Foundation’s actions.

Operational team

The salaried operational team implements strategy, handles administrative and financial management, monitors the research projects supported by the Foundation, coordinates the scientific and partnership network, and develops the resources and reputation of the One Science Montpellier Foundation.
